Iniama congratulates Archibong’s appointment, calls for respectful leadership in Itu LGA

A former gubernatorial aspirant in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. James Iniama, has urged Dr. Henry Archibong, newly appointed Commissioner for Housing, to lead with fairness, respect, and integrity, honoring the contributions of the people of Itu Local Government Area.

Indiana, in a heartfelt goodwill message to our Correspondent on Tuesday following Archibong’s swearing-in by Governor Umo Eno yesterday.

He outlined the importance of Archibong’s leadership in ensuring that the people of Itu LGA are treated with the respect they deserve, acknowledging their voluntary political contributions to both the LGA and the state.

“As your kinsmen, we expect that this new political elevation will allow the people of Itu LGA to enjoy respect, devoid of tyranny, for their service to the community and the state,” Iniama said.

He also expressed confidence in Archibong’s ability to succeed in his new role, thanking Governor Umo Eno for making what he called the right choice.

Dr. Henry Archibong, a former two-term House of Representatives member representing Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency, was appointed as the Commissioner for Housing after serving as the Honorary Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs for Uyo Senatorial District. He is well known for his political leadership in Itu Local Government Area.

Archibong was one of 27 new commissioners and special advisers sworn in by Governor Umo Eno, alongside other key figures such as Hon. Aniekan Umanah (Ministry of Information), Hon. Frank Archibong (Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs), and Prof. Eno Ibanga (Ministry of Works and Fire Service), among others.

The ceremony marked the beginning of a new era of governance, with high hopes for positive change across the state.
