Niger legislator empowers 716 youths in Kontogara 1 constituency

The legislator representing the Kontogara 1 constituency in the Niger state house of Assembly, Hon. Sanni Umar Black, has been commended by the House speaker, Rt.Hon.Barrister Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin-Daji for sponsoring a small business empowerment program for 716 youths.
Held at Government Lodge Kontagora, Niger State, the member provided each beneficiary with ₦100,000 to support their businesses at the end of the program.
The Speaker praised Hon. Sani Umar Black’s initiative, stating that it aligns with the state government’s priority on youth empowerment.
He also thanked the state Governor Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago, for his administration’s focus on youth empowerment and people-centered policies.
The Speaker also made a personal donation of ₦5,000 to each of the 716 beneficiaries, demonstrating his support for the empowerment program.
The event highlighted the importance of legislative intervention projects and programs in promoting economic development and youth empowerment.
In his address, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, representing the Governor, assured the beneficiaries of the state government’s commitment to people-centered policies and programs.
He emphasized that youth empowerment is crucial for addressing unemployment, restiveness, and economic downturn.

Mohammed Umar Bago, Speaker, and Members of the Niger State House of Assembly, for their support and cooperation in providing the enabling environment for Legislative intervention projects and programs, adding that youths empowerment is the bedrock to economic development.
