Manchester United Edge Closer to Relegation Zone After 1-0 Loss to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Manchester United in a crucial Premier League clash on Sunday.
Both teams entered the fixture struggling in the lower half of the table, with Spurs sitting in 15th place and United just one spot above them.
With both sides desperate for a turnaround, a draw would have done little to improve their fortunes. However, it was Ange Postecoglou’s men who claimed all three points.
James Maddison capitalized on a loose ball inside the penalty area, firing past André Onana to give Spurs the lead.
Despite a goalless second half, Tottenham managed to preserve their advantage until the final whistle.
The defeat leaves Manchester United in 15th place, just two positions above the relegation zone, while Spurs climb to 12th.
United have now suffered 12 defeats in their 25 league games this season, their worst record at this stage of a campaign since 1973-74, when they last faced relegation from the top flight.
