Fourteen centres bars from NECO in two States

Fourteen centers have been blacklisted from hosting the National Examination Council (NECO) henceforth as a result of their involvement in whole-center malpractice in nine subjects.
The centers are ten from Ogun and four from Oyo state respectively.
This was revealed by the Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examination Council (NECO). Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, while announcing the result of this year’s 3024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCae) external, held its headquarters on Friday, in MINNA.
In the same vein, to ensure corrupt free Examination, Professor Wushishi announced that Seven Supervisors, two each in Oyo and Ogun, while Lagos, Cross Rivers, and Ebonyi states were recommended for blacklisting for poor supervision, lateness and aiding and abetting during the week examinations.
According to the NECO boss, a total of 86,067, with 44,988 or 52.27 percent Male and 51,079 or 47.72 percent female, registered for the Examination.
However, 84,799, with 44,277 or 52.21 percent Male and 40,522 (47.79) percent female, actually sat for the Examination.
The number of candidates that sat for the English language was 83,220, out of which 62,929, representing 75.62 percent, got credit and above.
While candidates that sat for Mathematics was 83,024, out of which 77,988 representing 99.93 events got credits and above.
He said that a total of 57,114 candidates got five credits and above, including English and Mathematics, representing 67. 35 percent.
While declaring the release of the results, Professor Wushishi advised candidates to access their results on the NECO official website, www.neco.gov.ng, using their Examination registration number.
