Prostitution, other vices are not welcome in Nollywood industry –Nollywood actress, Eniafe Mosurat Enitan
Contrary to the public Impression that most of the artists in the Yoruba movie industry are prostitutes, one of the regular faces in the industry, Eniafe Mosurat Enitan, has punctured the make-believe about the conduct of both male and female entertainers.
Speaking to journalists at a reception in honor of a notable artiste recently, Eniafe said that what people see in movies every day is just a play or a drama aimed at educating, informing, and entertaining the public via their actions on screens.
She added that both male and female artists were trained to play different roles, depicting different characters in society, and the act did not translate to their real lifestyles.
Her words, “It always sounds funny and embarrassing when people come out with the impression that artists, especially the female gender in the movie industry, are corrupt, whereas we teachers teach with drama.”
She added, “I want to use this medium to inform the public that the Nollywood industry in Nigeria consists of decent, disciplined, and mature talented artists”.
