Nigeria’s First Lady donates N100 Million to explosion victims in Niger, visit two former Heads of State

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated a sum of N100 million to victims of the Dikko Tanker explosion in Niger state.
She made the donation while commiserating with Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago in Minna over the tragedy that claimed lives.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that the recent tanker explosion at Dikko junction that claimed over one hundred lives prompted her visit to the state.
The first lady stressed that the governor has done a lot to rehabilitate the families; hence, 70 families, through the governor’s wife, will have one million naira to help them settle and for other extra expenses like food items.
Responding, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago expressed appreciation to the wife of the president for coming to share in the pains and to commiserate with Nigerlites over the losses in recent times, like the tanker explosion in Diko, the dynamite explosion in Mashegu and the collapsed mines in Shiroro Local government amongst others.

The wife of the president, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reassured the country’s commitment to ensuring economic growth, development, and stability.
She gave this new hope when she paid a private visit to the two former heads of state, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and General Abdulsalam Abubakar, at their uphill residence in Minna.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that the visit was private; hence, there is a need to appreciate and applaud the efforts of the two heads of state for playing a fatherly role during the twenty twenty-three presidential election.
She also emphasized their roles in ensuring Nigeria understood the importance of the removal of subsidies.
On his part, General Abdulsalam Abubakar appreciated her visit and reaffirmed that he would continue to give his support to the development of the country.
The First Lady was accompanied by the wife of Vice President Hajiya Nana Shettima, amongst top government officials.
