Youth Minister lauds SV-NED/NYSC initiatives towards actualizing Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda
By Goodluck E. Adubazi, Abuja.
In a strategic move to drive economic transformation, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development, SV-NED/NYSC has sought a partnership with the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande. This collaboration aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on key sectors like agriculture, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), affordable housing, and youth training programs.
During a courtesy visit to the minister’s Abuja office on January 30, 2025, HRH Queen Mother Amb. Amina Temitope Labinjo Ajayi JP, Chairman of SV-NED Inc USA, outlined the initiative’s key objectives:
Economic Growth: Job creation, increased productivity, and investments in agriculture, CNG, and housing.
Youth Empowerment: Training, mentorship, and skills development for young Nigerians.
Infrastructure Development: Establishing CNG gas stations, conversion centers, and affordable housing projects to enhance living standards.
Housing for All Initiative
The partnership directly supports the Housing for All initiative, a core part of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, with a focus on:
Federal Mortgage Housing Loans: Offering low-interest, long-term mortgage options to make homeownership easier.
Affordable Housing Projects: Financing through the Federal Housing Authority Mortgage Bank to expand housing accessibility.
To implement these goals, SV-NED/NYSC plans to:
Work with government agencies, private organizations, and global partners for funding and expertise.
Deliver 50,000 housing units nationwide under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme.
Provide training and job opportunities in construction, housing, and urban development.
Royal Endorsement and Land Allocation
The initiative received strong royal backing on January 25, 2025, when HRH Alh. Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, Etsu Nupe, and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers welcomed the project and allocated 360,000 hectares of land for its implementation. The land will support high-tech agriculture, affordable housing, skill acquisition programs, and mineral exploration.
Hon. Ayodele Olawande praised the initiative, reaffirming the government’s full support for its immediate launch. The partnership is expected to empower Nigerian youths, drive economic growth, and transform key sectors through innovative solutions.
