Byron Isi commends NIDCOM’s efforts to boost Diaspora Investments

The Technical Adviser (TA) to the Senior Special Assistant to the President (SSAP) on Industrial Training and Development (ITD), Mr. Byron Isi, has praised the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) for its proactive efforts in attracting Diaspora investments to drive Nigeria’s economic development and industrialization.
Speaking at the North West Investment Summit in Kano, Isi delivered a keynote address titled, “Unlocking the Diaspora Investment Opportunities of the North West Zone.” He emphasized the need for Nigeria to tap into the technical expertise of its citizens abroad, particularly those in the migrant international labor force, to support the nation’s industrial training and development landscape.
In a speech presented by NIDCOM Secretary, Engr. Dr. Sule, on behalf of the Chairman/CEO, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging Diaspora funds for national development under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The summit, attended by public and private sector stakeholders from the six states of the North West zone, was part of NIDCOM’s sensitization and advocacy strategy aimed at encouraging more Nigerians abroad to invest in their home country.
Byron Isi also expressed appreciation to the various stakeholders who participated in the two-day event, held at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in unlocking Nigeria’s Diaspora investment potential.
