Ojurin Honours Irewolede LCDA Boss at 10th Coronation Anniversary

The Ojurin Of Ijurin-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joachim Adeyemi Afolabi has bestowed an award of excellence on the executive Chairperson of Irewolede LCDA, Hon. (Mrs) Dupe Bakare as a “Pillar of support and development” as part of activities marking his 10th coronation anniversary.

Hon. Bakare was accompanied to the palace of Ojurin, the venue of the event, by the Vice Chairman of the council, Hon. Samson Kolawole, Secretary, Hon. Adebo Adewale, party leaders, including Ijero local government APC Chairman, Mr. James Awe, Special Advisers and top management staff of the council, led by the HLA, Mr. Titiloye Omotayo.

While bestowing the award on Bakare, the Monarch said her contributions to the development of Ijurin-Ekiti necessitated her nomination for the award.

Oba Adeyemi commended the council boss for all the development embarked upon by her administration, particularly her commitment to the growth of all communities in the LCDA, which Ijurin-Ekiti is not left out.

The Monarch highlighted some of the projects that Hon. Bakare’s administration has executed in the town, including the extension of electricity along Temidire and college roads, the construction of culverts, and financial assistance to indigent indigenes of the town.

He used the occasion to commend his Subjects for their support and collective efforts in the last decade.

In her response, Hon. Bakare congratulated Oba Adeyemi for witnessing the first decade on the throne of his forefathers and expressed appreciation for the honor bestowed on her.

Hon. Bakare highlighted the Monarch’s dedication to promoting unity, peace, and prosperity among his people, and described him as a beacon of hope and embodiment of true leadership.

She commended Oba Adeyemi for his unwavering commitment to the development and progress of Ijurin-Ekiti and reiterated her continued support for the overall development of the town and all the communities within the LCDA.
