Nigerian Youth: Ultimate game-changers shaping Nation’s future

By: Goodluck E. Adubazi, Abuja.

Nigerian youth have been hailed as the driving force behind the nation’s transformation by Byron Isi, Country Director of First Class Management and Leadership Institute (FCMLI) Africa. Speaking at a national livestock summit in Abuja, Isi underscored the pivotal role young Nigerians play in redefining the country’s business, politics, and creative industries.

Isi acknowledged the global recognition Nigerian youth have gained in entertainment, particularly in music and film, but expressed concern over the significant number of idle young people vulnerable to crime and insecurity.

To address this challenge, he urged them to prioritize personal development through reading and skill acquisition to unlock their full potential.

Highlighting the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda, Isi pointed to programs designed to empower youth through enterprise support, economic empowerment initiatives, and industrial training.

Drawing from his experience as Technical Adviser to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Industrial Training and Development, he affirmed that these efforts are already making a positive impact.

Isi also encouraged young people to collaborate through business cooperatives to attract government incentives and drive economic growth.

With a distinguished career, including serving as Deputy Director at the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Isi’s message is clear: Nigerian youth have the talent and potential to transform the nation.

“The future of Nigeria rests in the hands of its youth. With the right mindset, skills, and opportunities, they are the ultimate game-changers who can lead the nation to greater heights,” Isi concluded.
