Imo Thomas -Umuahia.
The President of Vision Africa, Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has called on President Tinubu not to follow the part of the former president by insisting on a legal solution toward resolving IPOB Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s detention issue.
Bishop Onuoha seek for a political solution while interacting with Newsmen in Umuahia on Monday.
He said that if the federal government wanted to kill IPOB Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, they would have done that, hence the call for a political solution to resolve the issue in the interest of peace.
The president of Vision Africa called on the media to join hands by mounting pressure on the federal government to get the young man released from detention.
He said that the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu amounts to injustice, as justice delayed is justice denied.
“Nnamdi Kanu stands for justice, and the justice he called for and is fighting for is still facing us; he is not fighting for a tribal injustice but a National injustice,” Bishop Onuoha said.
He called on the federal government to tackle the effects of hunger in the land as that alone amounts to great injustice to the poor, adding that any day the masses pour out on the street, there will not be any place for the rich to hide.
“A stitch in time saves nine, “Bishop Onuoha, who is a Methodist Bishop, warned.
