2023: Sit-at-home commences in South East today – IPOB
The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has ordered sit at home of week starting from today in all the five Southeast states
This according to the Sit-at-home specialist, Simon Ekpa is part of the plans of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to boycott the general elections.
Ekpa, who lives in Finland, made the declaration on Wednesday on his Twitter account.
He said the one-week long sit-at-home will commence on Thursday February 23 and ends on Tuesday, February 28.
He tweeted, “The sit at home starts tomorrow 23.2.2023 and ends 28.2.2023. Together we will make this history & free ourselves from British slavery called Nigeria”.
As the elections approach, palpable fears have rented the atmosphere about the IPOB and Eastern Security Network activities that may disrupt the process in the South East.
The order is likely going to have severe impact on the chances of Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party as he enjoys greatest support in the zone
