Kano, Jigawa States Electorates Ready for Saturday’s Polls-Reports.

As the Presidential,Senatorial and Houses of Representatives elections approaches, electorates from Kano and Jigawa States remained set for the poll which is scheduled to hold Saturday, 25th February.
Our correspondent who monitored how the electorates were seen discussing about the general elections reported that although the issue of narrative redesign has been one of the matters arising prior to the polls, people are eager elect new leaders of their choice.
At Ringim local government area, Standard Times Nigeria have an interaction with some residents about their readiness to vote on Saturday, where they assured that their votes would count without delay as to ensure that they adhere with the constitutional mandate as citizens.
Alhaji Usman Yau told our correspondent that “despite the present issue of naira redesign, we would come out en mass to casts our votes and wait for the final announcements.
Standard Times Nigeria gathered that there are three powerful political parties, APC, PDP and NNPP that are more active and popular are likely to be the top contenders in the State while their supporters remain committed to ensure that they win the election with landslide victory.
From kano state, our correspondent observed how the top contenders, APC, PDP, NNPP and ADC were seen making efforts to catch the voters attention although the 2023 elections is quite different with those at the previous times in terms of vote buying.
Most of the people that had a chats with our correspondent at Kano Municipal local government area stated that ” this time, the encounter would be between the ruling APC under the current governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and it’s rival NNPP under the leadership of Presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwanwankwaso while PDP is under incessant court trials between Muhammad Abachà and Sadiq Wali which is taking new dimensions.
As at the time of filing this report, politicians especially candidates aspiring for various elective positions were seen making visitations to some prominent personalities seeking supports and goodwill prayers
