Friends, Associates drag Senator Adeyemito join governorship race in Kogi , donate N50 Million

Ahead of Kogi APC governorship primary, groups, friends and associates have donated some fifty million Naira for Senator Smart Adeyemi to pick intent and nomination forms for race to the Lugard house in November, 2023.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Adeleye Oluwafemi Godwin, the
Special Adviser on Media to Senator Smart Adeyemi, copy of which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday.
The statement explained that the Friends and associates of the Senator representing KogiWest senatorial district had begged him to join the governorship race in Kogi towards APC primary in April.
On the 19th of February, 2023 at the Maitama’s residence of Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi , friends and associates of Adeyemi across kogi
State in Abuja called on him to run for the gubernatorial race, equally raised fund to purchase the governorship form and promise to galvanize support across the entire state for him.
“The groups which cut across the three senatorial district of kogi state in their separate remarks said what necessitated their decision to call and donates fund for Senator Smart Adeyemi to contest for the governorship seat is due to his courage, carriage, capacity, great antecedents, experience, exposure, vision, patriotism, detribalized nature, oratory prowess, maturity, passion and delivery capacity.
They noted with nostalgia the remarkable achievements of Senator Smart Adeyemiacross the three senatorial district of kogistate and his quality representation at the floor of the senate.
“Fifty of the Senator’s friends and associates contributed the fund and made the formal donation of the Fifty Million Naira on behalf of others. According to them the bank draft was procured on Friday the 17th of February, 2023 but they were unable to present it to him as the senator was away for the APC presidential campaign in Maiduguri.
Responding, Senator Smart Adeyemithanked the group for their unanimous decision, also implore them to deliver the APC at the poll in the forthcoming election by voting massively for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Kashim Shettimaand other APC candidates.
Adeyemi described the APC presidential, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and hisrunning mate, Senator Kashim Shettima as personalities of intellectual capacity, track record and impeccable character, therefore the best combination to move Nigerians to another level of progress and prosperity.
The meeting had in attendance, Hon Nathaniel Ojo Taiwo, Engineer Ben Owoleke, Hon Ade Olamife, Hon Akin Akinola from Kogi West Senatorial District, Omale Isaiah, Mr Dan Ameh, Mr Philip Omale from Kogi East Senatorial District, Chief Sule Ebira,Hon M. I AbubakarandAhmed Yinusa from Kogi Central Senatorial District amongst others.
