Ecomiums as Ekiti Surveyor General bows out of Service
Ecomiums rented the air as Mr Niyi Ibidunmoye bowed out of Service as Ekiti State Surveyor General after putting in the thirty five years of stainless and unblemished career life.
Guests took their turn to eulogise the virtues of the celebrant at the hand over ceremony held in his office and at the reception at an event center in Ado Ekiti.
The state Head of Service, Mr Bamidele Agbede, Represented by a permanent secretary, Mr Babatunde Alokan, congratulated the retired Surveyor General on the occasion, noting that history would always remember him for good.
In the same vein, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Mr Diran Adesua, spoke glowingly on the attributes of Mr Ibidunmoye and concluded that he had no regret working with him in the past two years.
He said that the former Surveyor General was a true example of a dutiful Civil Servant.
Similarly, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr Deji Ajiboye, the General Manager of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, BSES, Mr Olu Popoola and others described the immediate past Surveyor General as a rare breed who upheld the ethics of his profession to the fullest.
They added that he raised the standard of the Service and exhibited character worthy of emulation
In their words of exhortation, Pastors Babalola Folorunsho and Olubunmi Olugbuyi charged guests to always have it in mind that they would always be remembered for their deeds, hence the need for them to always do good
In his remarks, Mr Ibidunmoye said that he was fascinated by the words of praises showered on him, attributing his success in the ministry to God.
He later handed over the baton to the Acting Surveyor General, Mr John Faleto, and charged him to work hard and uphold the standard of the profession.
Similarly the Nigeria Institution of Surveyors handed the seal of the Institution to the retired surveyor general to enable him engage in Private Practice.
Mr Niyi Ibidunmoye started the Surveying Career as a Survey Assistant in the Surveying Department of the Ministry of Lands and Housing, in 1987.
He rose through the ranks to become the Deputy Surveyor General in 2017, and was appointed Surveyor General in the year 2020.
The retired Surveyor General is a member of the Nigeria Institution of Surveyors, Member of the Surveyor Council of Nigeria (SURCON). Member of SURCON Human and Capital Development Committee.
He was also a Member of the Federal Road Safety Special Marshal and An Assistant Pastor in Agape Church Assembly, as well as A member of Patriot Club, Otun Ekiti, his community.
