Ogun 2023: Paseda describes Gov Abidoun as “careless son”, drums support for Biyi Otegbeye

A two time governorship candidate and ex-chieftain of APC in Ogun State, Otunba Rotimi Paseda, has faulted the administration of governor Dapo Abiodun and described him as “a careless son of a careful God”.Paseda made this known while declaring his support for Biyi Otegbeye, the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress(ADC) in the state at Iwe Iroyin Press Centre, Abeokuta, on Monday.The candidate of the Unity Party of Nigeria also vowed to work against the re-election bid of the Abidoun, describing him as an “accidental governor.”He faulted Abiodun’s administration, stressing that the governor was not prepared for the task before him but he got the position on a platter of gold.While describing Abidoun as “a careless son of a careful God”, he expressed his readiness to support Biyi Otegbeye as the next governor in Ogun state by 2023.He further said that he purposefully dumped APC in order to work against Abiodun’s second term bid, noting that the majority of Ogun people were already lamenting over his administration.“I’ve made up my mind that I am not going to support a careless son of a careful God, and I refer it to Dapo Abiodun. My decision to leave APC is not that APC did something bad to me but I want to make sure that Dapo Abiodun ‘lule’, that is why I left APC.“Now that I have left APC, I have not declare for any political party and do not intend to do so. I am fully a citizen of Nigeria. But I have declared and I’m ready to give my support to one man and that man is no other person than Biyi Otegbeye. He is the one I’m supporting, he is the one I’m going to put my weight behind, and that is why I have come to make an official statement that every things that is Paseda in Ogun state be it financial and members would be for Otegbeye.“Myself and Ladi are friends but this is beyond friendship, this is choice, and the fact is that I belong to a political family now and that political family is headed by Senator Ibikunle Amosun.“APC in Ogun state must ‘lule’ (failed), but my vote and support is for Tinubu; there is no doubt about that.”On Muslim-Muslim Ticket, this man that is called Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a pacesetter. From the record, he has never done anything for me but I have look at his antecedents. He is a man that risk to do what People think is unthinkable. In UK, in US there is nothing like Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christian ticket but Nigeria is a Nigeria. “Hopefully one day it will get to a point where I will leave Ogun and go and contest in Nasarawa as governor.“What is wrong with Muslim-Muslim ticket? Is it about religion or about capacity and competent. Will I say because I’m a celestial, I should employ only celestial in my business? “No! I will only keep a set of people that will make work done. It is about ability and capacity to take us to where we should be as nation after so many years of frustration. So, that is my view; there is nothing wrong in Muslim-Muslim ticket.”The ex-governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2015 also claimed that Abiodun was never ready to serve the good people of Gateway State.
