A rally by BAO Women Campaign Council for emergence of All Progressives Congress Governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on Thursday took another dimension with a carnival like road show.
The train of the road show took off from Ado Ekiti through Iworoko, Ifaki, Ido, usi, Osan, Ewu, Iye, Isan, Ilupeju, Itapa,Osin , Ikole, Ijesa Isu , Ilu Omoba and terminated at Ijan Ekiti.
The roadshow was led by the Wife of Ekiti State Governor and Chairperson BAO women Campaign Council, Her Excellency Erelu Bisi Fayemi accompanied by the APC Governorship Candidate’s Running mate;Chief Monisade Afuye, Wife of the Governorship Candidate; Dr Olayemi Oyebanji , Director General of the women Campaign Council; Chief Oluremi Ajayi and other members of the council .
In her address , the Governor’s wife , Erelu Bisi Fayemi who encouraged the people not to doubt the efficient service delivery of the party’s gubernatorial candidate gave assurance that more projects that would be beneficial to all residents of the state would be accomplished during his administration.
She hinted that there were more projects in the in the pipeline for the benefit of the people through Development Partners that have been supporting the state and such could only be implemented by the next administration if the party secure the Governorship seat.
Erelu Fayemi therefore appealed to the people not to allow the state to be short changed in the scheme of progress as the only way to ensure that is to vote massively for APC Governorship Candidate who would continue with the good works of this present administration.
Also, the APC governorship Candidate’s wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji reminded the people that different political party that have governed the state usually abadon projects most especially if it was not initiated by them saying that APC would never engage in such so as to avoid waste of the state’s scarce resources.
Dr Oyebanji promised that the people of the state would not regret voting for APC governorship candidate noting that the flagbearer remained the best for the state at this crucial time of election.
In her contribution, the APC Governorship Candidate’s Running mate Chief Monisade Afuye told the people not to be deceived by other political parties contesting the election with vain slogans, adding that continuity agenda that would lead to improved wellbeing of the people should be paramount in the heart of the voters.
Those who received the campaign team in all the towns visited were full of enthusiasm with a loud promise that APC would be adequately given support through their votes in the coming election.
The road show which caught the admiration of residents , passers by , motorists and traders of the communities visited featured distribution of various gift items and political education centered on how to vote right for continuity of regular payment of salaries, good governance, infrastructure, youth empowerment, among many other good programmes.
