Ogun West 2023: Akinlade in Ota, challenges rivals to present their achievements

A former three term member representing Yewa South/Ipokia in House of Representatives, and a Senatorial aspirant under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Abiodun Isiaq, has challenged his rivals for the senate seat to showcase their achievements while in public office to the people
Akinlade, who took his campaign and declaration of ambition to Ado- Odo Ota Local government, said the past will reveal what the future will look like.

While addressing the party members present at the event to solicit for their support in the forthcoming Election , he made it known that he does not care whom the contestant are, but what he knows is that his works and achievements will speak for him.
To validate his claim on his achievement, he made reference to what he has achieved as an elected, member representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency for 3 times, appointed, Special Adviser on special duties, Nigerian house of Representatives, National Assembly 2015-2018, and also Appointed, Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the federal Character Commission, Abuja, providing job opportunities for over 759 youths, facilitated four out of the seven federal agency to Ogun state which are situated in Owode-Yewa,
Furthermore, he added that he lobbied the president to establish the developmental institute for southwest to be situated in Ogun state, in which the institute has been approved and 20billion has been set aside to begin the project
He further stated that providing of grinding machines, NAPEP, Okada, infrastructure development in schools and hospitals, community water projects, donation of transformer to rural areas which are executed by him, should not be regarded as achievement but rather service to humanity.
In his closing statement he said ” I will not buy your conscience, I am going to the Senate to represent you to give you dividends of democracy”.
Several dignitaries, delegates and party leaders from all the five local governments in the senatorial district were present at the event
