My Tenant’s Wife Poisoned My Son, I want him out of my House, Man Tells Court
Shina Ashade, Abeokuta
A middle aged man, Samuel Jolaoho, has dragged his tenants, Waidi Oredokun, to a customary court sitting in Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State, to pack out of his house over a poison laced in his son’s food by his wife.
Jolaoso, who dragged his tenant to the court in a suit number: C/215/21, said that Waidi’s wife put poison in his boy’s pap at his house in Abule-Ilugun, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.
He said that Waidi had once broken a bottle with the aim of stabbing a new tenant in the house, adding that he could no longer endure him and his wife nefarious attitude
The landlord noted that whenever he asked for the eight months rent he owed him, Waidi would flare up and started an argument with him, while his wife would go about the neighborhood spreading rumours about him.
He said although his son did not die of the poison but he pleaded with the court to send Waidi out of his house to avoid unwholesome action he might want to take.
“I want the court to ask him to leave my house. He is too troublesome and his wife poisoned my son’s pap. In fact there was one day he broke a bottle and wanted to stab the new tenant i just got in. He owns me eight month. I want him out”
Responding, Waidi told the court that his landlord was telling lies, insisting that his wife cannot poison his son even though she sells pap
“My wife will never poison the landlord’s son, although she is selling pap, but she can’t poison his son because she also takes care of him whenever nobody is around, it is the landlord second wife that is telling lies” he said
The president of the court, Mrs A.O Abimbola, ordered Waidi to pack out of the landlord’s house on or before April 30
