G-15 NGO offers free medical services to Niger community.

A Non Governmental Organization under the auspices of G-15 has offered free medical services to over one thousand poor and vulnerable people in Bosso local government area of Niger state

The annual medical outreach carried out by the organization in its fourth year for the twenty two exercise held at Makunkele in Bosso witnessed a huge numbers of beneficiaries due to its awareness.

The program Coordinator, Bala Ahmed Makunkele in an interview said the aim us to impact on the lives of others through free medical outreach to enhanced community development while assuring for its sustenance called on others to emulate same.

Service provider, Doctor Joseph Saidu Barde explained that about one hundred people were expected for surgery and no fewer than one thousand are expected with various medical challenges for the services.

He stated that minor surgeries are carried out at the MakunkelePrimary Healthcare but major surgeries are being referred to Minna General Hospital but are to be paid for by the sponsor, while general health problems and those with eye problems are been treated.

The Director, Makunkele Primary Healthcare Bosso, Hassan Usman who appreciated the sponsor (G-15) said that vital signs are been taken before medical consultation on their health challenges ranging from malaria, typhoid, hypertension, diabetes, eyes, among others for free medication.

A beneficiary, Rahmat Hassan decried that most of them could not afford their medical bills however thanked the sponsor of the exercise by giving hope for the poor and vulnerable in the society while she appealed to governments to do the needful.
