Yuletide: So-Safe corps deploy 1,000 officers for security in Ogun

Ogun State Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has deployed over 1,000 Officers and Men of the Corps ahead of Christmas and New Year Celebrations to secure the length and breadth of the state.
The Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo, said that the command depoyed the officers based on multiple Intelligence at at its disposal and the records of black spots in various communities in of the 20 Local Government Area.
This was contained in a press release made available by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander, Moruf Yusuf.
Ganzallo said that the agency will embark on aggressive clamp down on criminally minded people terrorizing the state and its environs with guns and working on getting more rifles for use during the electioneering period.
He assures the law abiding citizens in the state that the agency will ensure that arms and ammunition in circulation that are used to perpetrate one crime or the other are mopped up effective from Sunday 18th December, 2022 through January, 10th. 2023.
The commander enjoins the body of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) in the State to take their time on various pulpits to instruct their followers to celebrate moderately and to ensure they follow all security and safety guidelines for safer and secure communities during the seasons.
He said that the six Zonal and twenty-one Area Commands of the agency had been instructed to deploy the officers of the Corps to strategic places and that their Intelligence Operatives should be distributed properly to negate any form of crimes and criminality before, during and after the yuletide seasons.
Ganzallo stressed that no indigene or visitor should experience any form of crime with kidnapping, advising that the commercial motorists and motorbike riders and articulated vehicles to limit their speed and exercise caution while driving in and out of the state.
