Nollywood mourns death of filmmaker, Osmond Gbadebo
Nigerian filmmaker and Yoruba actor, Osmond Gbadebo, has died.
His death was first announced by Nollywood actress, Fausat Balogun, popularly known as Madam Saje, on her Instagram page on Monday, May 30.
She wrote: “Goodnight Osmond.”
Although there was no mention of the cause of death, many actors dropped comments on Saje’s page mourning the deceased.
Bimbo Success wrote: “So sad Osmond Gbadebo, may your gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace!!! Ile aiye, Ile aisan vanity upon vanity”
Another actress Bakare Zainab wrote: Osmond Osmond Osmond why??? I saved all these videos to celebrate your birthday and your daughter’s birth, but you asked me not to post them. Osmond, why did you leave that 2-week-old child?
“Why did you do this to your loved ones? Why did you die??? May!! Your birth month, your child’s birth month, now your death month, ahhh may God be pleased with your soul. This broke me to pieces, Po”.
Faithia Williams wrote: “OMG so sad.”
Kiitan Bukola wrote: “Osmond with the good heart.”
Confirming the time of death in an Instagram post, actor Afeez Owo wrote: “It was early morning at four when death knocked upon your bedroom door. Iku lopin irin Ajo eda late”.
Laide Bakare posted a video of their meeting saying, “Hmmmmm sad! Sad!! Sad!!!! this was just four days Ago, and Today hearing you are no more, its indeed a Big shocker, Rip Osmond he was full of life till last Breath.”
Kunle Afod wrote: “So sad to hear that you are no more. The struggle was real. The hustle was real. It’s time to rest my friend Osmond Gbadebo. Rip.”
Gbadebo was famous for movies such as Ewon Ife, Queen Lateefat, Edunjobi and Hired Killer.
