8-Month-Old Baby Dies As Pastor Connives With Concubines To Beat Wife In Ogun

Police in Ogun State have arrested a 50-year-old pastor, Isaac Akinbola for allegedly conniving with two others to beat his wife, Dasola Akinbola, resulting to the death of her eight months old baby.
The pastor’s accomplice are : Esther Olowolayemo, 29, and Oluwakemi Oshinbajo, 30.
They were all arrested on March 27, 2022 following a report lodge at the police station by the victim, Dasola
Dasola had reported that she suspected his husband was having illicit affairs with the two women whom she said were her spouse’s concubines.
The two women, who are members of her husband’s church, decided to teach her a lesson following the allegation
They accompanied the pastor to his wife’s residence at ipinle area of Mamu ijebu, and beat her with an eight months old baby, Obadiah Akinbola, who fell and was later pronounced death at the hospital.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident to newsmen in a statement on Sunday
Oyeyemi said that upon the report, the DPO Awa Ijebu division, CSP Adewalehinmi Joshua, ordered the arrest of the three suspects.
He said that the woman and her baby were taken to Mamu ijebu health center for medical care and were later referred to Blessed Hospital Oru Ijebu.
At, Blessed Hospital, the Police PRO said it was discovered that the baby had internal injury which he sustained when he fell down from his mother’s hands during the scuffle.
“The child gave up the ghost on the 28th of March 2022 while receiving treatment as a result of the internal injury.The remains of the child has been deposited at the general hospital Ijebu Igbo mortuary for autopsy.” he said 
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation
