Communal clash claims one live at Doko, Niger state

The police in Niger state has confirmed that one person lost his live st Doko , Lavun local government area of Niger state during a communal clash over a disputed parcel of land.
According to the Police spokesperson, DSP Abdulwasiu Abiodun, On 01/04/2022 at about 2130hrs, a yet to be identified group of hoodlums attacked the residence of one Mohammed Yan-Nda ‘m’ of Tswata area of Doko village, Lavun LGA who is the father of one Mubarak reportedly to have stabbed a victim on the same date at about 2030hrs.
The hoodlums mobilized to Mohammed’s residence in reprisal of the injury sustained by the victim, and lynched him to death while they equally vandalized some of his property and some neighboring houses and fled the scene
Policemen have been drafted to the village and effort is ongoing to apprehend the hoodlums as normalcy was restored
