CSR: Mikano Limited Donates Traffic Shelter Stands To TRACE

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, a private firm, Mikano International Limited, has donated traffic shelter stands to Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), to enhance operation of officers in traffic control and management.
Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Gbenga Dairo, while taking delivery of the stands extolled the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of Mikano International Limited.
Dairo, who commended the company for its continued support in improving traffic management and safety within the state, said that that the firm’s contribution to job creation across the state could not be overemphasized
He charged other companies in the state to emulate Mikano, saying that the remarkable gesture was a reflection of how the state placed in high esteem its collaboration with industries
The Corps Commander, TRACE, Commander Olaseni Ogunyemi, said that he was impressed with the firm’s provision of the stands to the corps, noting that the agency had only received 31 traffic shelter stands as the first batch
“We are aware of Mikano’s support which has been enjoyed by some privileged States in the country. Therefore, bringing this magnanimous gesture to Ogun State simply signifies that Ogun State is identified as being worthy of trust and quality delivery” he said
Earlier, the Special Assistant to Chairman of Mikano on Traffic Shelter Stand, Mr. Yemi Salako said the company was encouraged to collaborate with the State due to the glowing performance of the TRACE in traffic control and management, noting that the remaining stands would be provided in due course.
