Tragedy struck at Ihunbo along Idiroko road, on Thursday, when a car laden with kegs of Premium Motor Spirit otherwise known as petrol gut fire.
Eyewitness said that the car suddenly spark fire on motion leading to the death of the driver.
The witness said that the fire killed and burnt the driver who was the only one in the car
Spokesperson of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, (TRACE) Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed the occurrence of the incident.
Akinbiyi said that the cause of the fire was due to the driver nonchalant attitude of carrying kegs of patrol in his car
He said that the TRACE officials were waiting for the fire to die down before they could remove the corpse of the drive
“Fire is still burning . We are waiting to see the fire subdue before the carcass can be removed from the road for easy passage” he said
