Federal government has no choice than invest in the youths. – SGF

The Federal Government has said that it has no choice than to invest in the youths so that the future of Nigeria can be guaranteed.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha stated this while flagging off of HYPPADEC Youth Transformation Programme targeted at training five thousand youths held in Minna Niger state.
Represented by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr Sunday Dare the SGF Boss Mustapha said this has became necessary because youths are the strength of Nigeria.
He however explained that the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission HYPPADEC has keyed into Federal Government plan of turning Nigerian youths to become wealth creators self employed employers of labour and contribute positively to National development.
Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello applauded the Commission for targeting five thousand youths on vocational and life changing skills from the affected communities which he said will no doubt change the economic status of our people and and uplift their living standard as it was designed to take place twice annually.
Represented by his Deputy Ahmed Mohammed Ketso the Governor urged beneficiaries to take the training serious and see themselves as change agents while commending Federal Government and HYPPADEC for demonstrating resilience in tackling the menace of youth restiveness.
Chairman HYPPADEC Governing Council Mr Joseph Terfa Ityav who thanked the Niger state government for it’s support also appealed to NGO’s to partner with members of affected communities to address their challenges.
Managing Director HYPPADEC Alh Abubakar Sadik Yelwa said HYPPADEC is fully committed to achieving the yearnings and aspirations of members of participating states.
The six HYPPADEC states are Benue Kebbi Kwara Kogi Plateau and Niger.
