A 27 years old Habibu Bazabarme  has stabbed his biological mother to death and seriously inflicted injury on his wife over family quarrel in Kontagora town of Niger State

The suspect killed his mother with a knife for interrupting his quarrel with his wife who was also injured and currently receiving treatment at  the general hospital Kontagora.

According to sources, the suspect is mentally unstable considering the way and manner he has been acting of recent which he said was strange to the neighbors.

It was reliably gathered that the wife, who suffered injuries from the beating she got from her husband, was taken to the hospital, hence the immediate arrest of the suspected homicide after news of his mother’s death got to the people.

The Niger State Commissioner of Police, Monday Bala Kuryas confirmed the incident in a telephone interview but could not  give details but disclosed that investigation was ongoing.
