FG to distribute additional 4 Million Meters to households.

The Federal Government has indicated readiness to distribute over Four Million additional electricity Meters to households in the Country.
Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu disclosed this during an interview with Newsmen in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.
According to him under the mass metering initiative of the Federal Government, over one million people have already been metered in the first phase, adding that over four Million is available for distribution in the second phase of the programme.
The Minister who noted that Federal Government desire is to make sure that every electricity consumer is metered so that problems associated with estimated billing system would be finally addressed, said when people have a Meter of their own, such persons are of liberty to either control or waste his or her electricity.
He commended the Federal Government for completing the 330/132/33KVA electricity Sub -Station at Akurba, Lafia Local government Council of Nasarawa State, which was Commissioned last week Thursday by President Muhammad Buhari.
The Minister who opined that with the completion of the Akurba electricity Project the State will now enjoy steady electricity supply and boost business activities, called on the people to safeguard every projects provided by Federal Government in their domain to avoid vandalization.
