The member of the House of Representatives for Gummi/Bukkuyum federal constituency Rt. Hon. Dr Sulaiman Abubakar Gumi has donated security intervention support for security volunteers popularly known as ‘yansakai group operating in 21 wards of Gummi/Bukkuyum federal constituency.
The donation was performed by Dr. Sulaiman Gumi at his liaison office in Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara state.
Speaking at the presentation, the Honourable Member representing Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal constituency in Zamfara state Rt. Hon. Dr. Sulaiman Abubakar Gumi stated that, the security gadgets were carefully selected to support the operations of the security personnel operating in 21 wards across Gummi/Bukkuyum boarders.
The purpose is to mitigate or possibly curb the increasing insecurity challenges faced by the constituency in recent times.
Gumi called on the people of the constituency to rise up and join hands with the security agencies through intelligence sharing in order to bring an end to the scourge of banditry, kidnapping, illegal and forceful extortions, wanton killing and other forms of criminal activities orchestrated by insurgents in the constituency.
Gumi expressed that, his heart is always with his people, especially whenever a particular community is reported to have been attacked by the insurgents.
He urged the good people of Gummi and Bukkuyum to complement his good intentions for them by reporting bandits presence in any community, stop donation of money to bandits, end every illegal dealings with bandits and join hands with security operatives to kick bandits out of every community in the constituency.
He called on the security personnel operating in the 21 wards of the constituency to intensify their operations in both day and night hours and leave no stone unturned until bandits are totally eradicated from the constituency.
He enjoined them to relate with the constituents peacefully, persuasively and understanding, avoiding the use of force in order not to intimidate and scare the people that are capable to share useful information with them.
Gumi reiterated by commending the effort of the security personnel in the fight against bandits, urging them to use the vehicles, drones, motorcycles, night vision glasses and other security gadgets provided to them judiciously and to the best interest of the constituency to the glory of the Almighty Allah who will judge everyone at the last day.
The items donated to enhance their activities include one operational vehicle for each of twenty one wards totalling twenty one vehicles, five motorcycles to each ward amounting to one hundred and five and other sixty nine motorcycles, drones, night vision glasses, Torchlight, rain boot, and other items.
Presence at the occasion were emir of Gummi justice lawal Hassan, emir of Bukkuyum Sarkin Danko, Alhaji Muhammad Usman, District Heads, Politicians, Businessmen and host of others who in their separate remarks commended Dr. Sulaiman Abubakar Gumi for donating sophisticated security gadgets to personnel operating in the constituency and pledged to give their total support for eradication of bandits from the area.
