The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its campaign council for the 2027 general elections, setting in motion a coordinated mobilisation drive across the state.

The party released the composition of the various committees on Tuesday in Abeokuta through its State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi.

The committees comprise party leaders, political stakeholders and other members saddled with responsibilities covering grassroots mobilisation, media and publicity, logistics, youth and women engagement, contact and mobilisation, among other areas.

Sanusi said the committees were established to strengthen the party’s organisational structures and ensure effective coordination of its campaign activities across the 20 local government areas of the state.

He urged members of the various committees to work together and mobilise support for the APC in the presidential, governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections.

A major highlight of the campaign structure is the appointment of Comrade Arabambi Abayomi, a prominent Labour Party chieftain, as Chairman of the Inter-Party Committee.

The APC said Arabambi’s political experience and networks across opposition parties would be deployed to facilitate engagement, dialogue and mobilisation ahead of the elections.

The committee is expected to mobilise support from members and stakeholders of other political parties for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the emergence of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as Ogun State governor, and the election of Prince Dapo Abiodun as Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District.

It will also be responsible for building broader political support for other APC candidates contesting various elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
