The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, has decorated 57 officers recently promoted across various ranks, describing their elevation as a reward for hard work, dedication and professionalism.

The promoted personnel comprise five Assistant Corps Commanders, 27 Chief Route Commanders, 16 Superintendent Route Commanders, six Route Commanders and one Deputy Route Commander.

Among those promoted is the Ogun State Sector Public Education Officer, CRC Afolabi Odunsi, whose elevation was described as recognition of his commitment to effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.

Speaking at the decoration ceremony, the Sector Commander, RS2.2 Ogun Sector, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, congratulated the officers and urged them to regard their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility rather than merely a reward for past service.

Ogunjobi said their elevation had raised expectations for improved performance in advancing the Corps’ mandate of reducing road traffic crashes, promoting compliance with traffic regulations and protecting lives on Nigerian roads.

He charged the newly promoted officers to uphold discipline, integrity and professionalism while demonstrating effective leadership in their various areas of responsibility.

The Sector Commander further urged them to remain committed to serving the motoring public with diligence, stressing that their conduct and performance must justify the confidence placed in them by the Corps.

The Ogun Sector Command commended the Corps Marshal and the FRSC management for recognising the contributions of its personnel and expressed confidence that the promotions would further motivate the officers to contribute to safer roads across Ogun State and Nigeria.

The command also congratulated the newly promoted officers and wished them greater success as they assume their new responsibilities.
