The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has felicitated with Muslim members of the sports community on the occasion of Eid-ul Maulud, urging them to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad by promoting peace, unity, compassion and resilience.

In a goodwill message issued through his Media Aide, Mr. Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele described Eid-ul Maulud as a significant occasion for spiritual reflection, renewal and a recommitment to values that strengthen individuals and communities.

He urged athletes, coaches, officials and other stakeholders in the sports sector to embrace the virtues of tolerance, discipline, perseverance and selflessness, noting that these qualities are essential to achieving success both on and off the field.

“Eid-ul Maulud offers us an opportunity to reflect, renew our faith and strengthen our commitment to values that unite us. The lessons from the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) remind us of the importance of peace, compassion, perseverance and service to humanity,” Enabulele said.

The Sports Commission Chairman further encouraged members of the Edo sports community to see the occasion as an opportunity to renew their commitment to excellence and the continued development of sports in the state.

According to him, the spirit of resilience demonstrated by athletes in overcoming challenges should inspire greater determination to achieve success and further position Edo State as a leading force in Nigerian sports.

“Sports teaches us that challenges can be overcome through determination, teamwork and resilience. As we celebrate Eid-ul Maulud, let us renew our commitment to working together for greater achievements in Edo sports,” he added.

Enabulele called on sports stakeholders to use the festive period to reflect, recharge and strengthen the bonds of unity while pursuing the shared goals of sports development, excellence and good sportsmanship.

He wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, joyous and spiritually rewarding Eid-ul Maulud celebration, praying for renewed strength, wisdom and prosperity for all.
