Benue State Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Sabiu Saidu, House of Representatives primary election committee, has appealed to contestants in various federal constituencies that has lost out in the primaries not to feel bad but consider the exercise as a family matter.

He appealed on Sunday at the party Secretariat while addressing party supporters before declaring the results of the elections, advising contestants to know that the election has only one option, which is to win or lose.

“This can happen, and there is nothing anybody can do about it, especially if the process is transparent, free, and fair, “he said, stressing that it is not easy to please everybody in an election.

Saidu, before the DSS, APC party executives in Benue State, INEC, DSS, and the police declared Solomon Wombo as the winner for Katsina-ala, Logo, and Ukum federal constituency, scoring 64,274 votes to defeat his closest rival, Julius Asom, who pulled 611 votes.

He disclosed that Gwer East/Gwer West has Nongo David, who pulled 17,421 votes to defeat the incumbent, Asema Achado, with 729 votes, while Oju/Obi federal constituency returned Peter Egbodo, the ex -Benue State information commissioner under Alia’s administration, pulling 12,993 votes to defeat Ogewu Agada, his closest rival, who pulled 936 votes respectively.

According to the Chairman of the House of Representatives primary election, Dr. Livinus Tsar scored 28,549 to defeat the incumbent, Sesoo Gboko, who pulled 693.

Other results declared were Anthony Angom, scoring 19,124, for Ado/Obadigbo/Okpokwu, while Ojema Ojotu scored 11,305 votes.

Saidu also declared Christopher Ikper, who polled 37,844 votes to defeat the incumbent, Dickson Tarkighir, with 1746 votes, while Gideon Inyom scored 10, 470 votes to emerge the winner against the incumbent Hon. Sekav Iortyom, who scored 1,396 votes for Buruku federal constituency, respectively.

Similarly, Regina Akume, representing Gboko/Tarka federal constituency, was returned elected, polling 19,638 votes to defeat Alumo Orpin, who scored 2779 votes, with Blessing Onuh scoring 17,451 votes, defeating Lawrence Onoja junior with 974 votes to represent Otukpo Ohimini, while Shederac Iornem won for Kwande/Ushongo Federal constituency.

The chairman of the House of Representatives primaries in Benue State, who said the election in most of the federal constituencies was free and fair, appealed to party supporters and contestants to consider the exercise as a family business by accepting the results in good faith.
