Strike looms as NASU,Asuri, Ogbomoso embark on stay at home

The organised labour under the auspices of Joint Research and Allied Union, NASU, Asuri, Ogbomoso on Tuesday walked out of a meeting to press of their demands
The Chairman of the Joint Research and Allied union, Comrade Boroffice Solomon, who dropped the hints while, speaking with Journalists on Tuesday, said labour was following due process before they evil eventual arrive at a strike action.
“We are not keeping quiet because you know labour provides lead6,in this kind of struggle, labo6 can not keep quiet, we must follow some processes before it can now translate to strike because the strike is not an easy thing “.
Before we go on protests, there are things we need to put into consideration before a protest take place ” .He said.
He said the government should ensure their demands implemented to allowing organisations to spend 65 years in service ,just like others sister in Federal government establishment in the country.
He said that,” Research is everything without a doubt, this is the engine of the Agricultural sector and of course for staff to move “, train and re-retraing of members of staff.
“Agriculture can make a difference, it is the government responsibility to train staff research, develop,make innovations to make Nigeria self sufficient to able to export anything we want through innovative Researches “.he said.
Comrade Femi Afolabi, also said that, we have our staff ,on ground that can be train and they are qualified to travel abroad for training lack of equipment hinders us to meet expectations.
According to him,said since 2009,payment of Couraiss arrears are not being paid till date, urged the Federal government to come to there aids,without further delay.
Mr Afolabi,also said that the es6of Naricom national Research institution Commission to coordinate Research of the staff not a contractor that would be subjected to such, we have staff that are qualified for the job.
He called on the Federal government and National Assembly Abuja,to come to aids of the company not to collapse, urged the federal government of their staff welfare which is paramount, while thanking the Federal government for paying their salaries as at when due.,urged then to do more
