Shi Jin Quarry taking safety measures to protects host Communities

Shi Jin Quarry, which was established and situated at Dagarma in Zaura Village, Dawakin Tofa local government area, remained committed to taking serious measures to safeguard the lives and property of the host community against the hazard of the quarry operations. 

Our correspondent was able to visit the site last Monday, after receiving complaints from some neighboring residents about what they regarded as polluting their communities with stone dust and the threat from the loud explosions as a result of the factory operations. 

Similarly, some of the residents disclosed that operating a quarry site requires regular safety measures, especially in remote areas, where they demanded more action against the operational hazards to safeguard their health and that of their community.

Responding to the host communities’ complaints, the site manager of the Shi Jin Quarry site, Mr. Sani Muktar, disclosed that “the management has already taken good measures to ensure that the environment is safe and with no harmful effects is recorded”. 

He emphasized that Shi Jin Quarry will never allow operational hazards to affect the host community, and the company would continue to use all categories of safety measures to control any effects due to the Quarry’s operations.

“We are doing our best to make sure that there is no harm to the people and shelters across the community’s diameter, and we  thank the people of Dagarma, Zaura, Juji, Qirya Daurawa, Tattarawa, Dakatsalle, and Biwanya for being friendly to the factory, adding that  Shi Jin Quarry is operating an open-door policy for counselling and other related issues that will promote good relationships.”

In their separate remarks, residents of Juji, which is closer to the factory site, Malam Adamu Babangida and Yunusa Baushe stated that “at first time, we encountered a threat of dusts and loins thunder of explosives, but the Quarry management has tried their best to make sure that a safety measures is taken to Safeguard our communities from being endangered due to the activities of an operations”.

Babangida and Yunusa Baushe added that from what is going on, Shi Jin Quarry is working selflessly to ensure that everybody is safe and protected from the quarry operation hazard and other accidental problems
