Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has commissioned the 11kV Dundu Band A feeder at the Jogana Injection Substation, marking a key step toward improving power reliability and supporting economic growth.

The project was commissioned on behalf of the Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Abubakar Shuaibu Jimeta, and represented by the Chief Technical Officer, Engr. Kassim Burkullu, reflecting the company’s commitment to efficient service delivery and network improvement.

Delivered with the support of KEDCO’s core investor, Future Energies Africa, the project underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure and operational capacity.

The newly energized feeder is expected to significantly improve electricity supply to industrial customers along Hadeja Road and the Tokarawa axis.

Providing Band A service ensures extended power availability, reduced downtime, and enhanced productivity for businesses in these key economic areas.

Speaking at the commissioning, Engr. Burkullu noted that the project aligns with KEDCO’s strategic focus on infrastructure modernization and reliable service delivery, particularly for high-impact customers.

The Jogana Injection Substation remains a critical component of KEDCO’s distribution network, supporting load expansion and improved supply quality across Kano and surrounding areas.

This development represents another milestone in KEDCO’s ongoing transformation, driven by strategic investments, strong partnerships, and a commitment to operational excellence.
