The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Hon. Warman Ogoriba, has described as a “pipe dream” the opposition parties’ wait for an internal implosion after the conclusion of ward, Local and State Congresses that produced its executives in the state.

According to Ogoriba, the expectations of the opposition parties showed that they had miscalculated and that the just-concluded congresses were the most peaceful and united exercise by the APC in the state.

The APC Chairman, Hon. Warman Ogoriba, who made this known during a call on him by the State and Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), led by Chief Tiwei Orunimighe, stated that the prevailing peace in the state would be sustained.

The RHA local government coordinators on the entourage of Orunimighe are Kuro Matthias Nyenye (Nembe), Dr. Godson Torukuru (Yenagoa), Uroh Kiani (Brass), and Engr. Biewari Orupeighe (Southern Ijaw).

Others are High Chief Okubokakpo Ombu (Sagbama), Chief Ebinyo Turner (Ogbia), Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah (Kolokuma/Opokuma) and Hon. Orubebe Ogeibiri (Ekeremor).

Hon. Ogoriba said the new executives of the party are set to start building on the trust and sustain the unity shown by stakeholders, party leaders, and members during the last exercise.

“We are operating an open-door policy and have started visiting stakeholders to ensure that the fold of the party is not open to acrimony. Those in the opposition dreaming that there would be an implosion within the APC before they can survive will be disappointed.”

The State Party Chairman also assured the members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) and other campaign organisations in the state of the party’s support ahead of campaigns and elections in the state.

He described the campaign organisations as a “fuel station” needed to push for a successful campaign and victory for President Bola Tinubu and other aspirants ahead of 2027.

Ogoriba urged the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) and other political NGOs to be on top of their game, declaring that once the party and the NGOs work in unity, the party will win all elections with a landslide.

“I urge you to support the process of building peace, unity, and oneness in the party.”

Earlier in his speech, Orunimighe commended the newly elected Executive of the party in the state for their show of readiness to accept NGOs and create a viral partnership ahead of the 2027 polls.

Orunimighe described the APC as the parent and the NGOs as the babies, as the party heads head towards the campaign for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.

He said, “As Ambassadors, we are ready to campaign for President Tinubu. And we are ready to campaign with the party for President Bola Tinubu. The instruction from the national is for all NGOs to work with the party structures. And if we work and liaise with the party, the victory for the party will be massive.”

“We just came to inform you and let you know that we have an office and the party should not hesitate to çall on us.”
