The Zamfara State Government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, has distributed relief items including clothing, daily food supplies, and other essential materials to 68 rescued Tsafe victims currently receiving treatment at Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Aisha M.Z. Anka, assured the victims of the state government’s full support throughout their stay in the hospital.
Dr. Anka, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Barrister Suwaiba Ibrahim Barau, said the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal prioritizes the security and well-being of citizens.
The statement issued by Suleman Aliyu Gusau, Information Officer Ministry of Women affairs and Social Development confirmed that, the Commissioner added that the Zamfara State Government is working closely with security agencies in the state to restore lasting peace.
She emphasized that the current administration is committed to strengthening the security architecture across every part of the state. Dr. Anka expressed optimism that, Insha Allah, the security challenges currently affecting the northern region of the country will soon become history.
Dr. Anka urged the victims to accept the incident as the will of Almighty Allah and to continue praying for the success of the Governor’s administration in its efforts to support security agencies in completely eradicating banditry in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the victims, Malam Bashir Mohammad Keta thanked the Zamfara State Government for its commitment and support since their rescue, including the provision of medical treatment, food, and clothing.
