Actress and producer Mary Remmy Njoku has delivered a blunt assessment of the entertainment industry, claiming that genuine talent is no longer enough to gain recognition.

She argued that fame today rewards shocking behaviour over meaningful creativity.

Speaking at the NECLive panel, she explained that her own success came from solving real industry problems, not chasing clout.

She lamented that those who act wildly or behave outrageously get more attention than hardworking creatives.

She said, “If you want to blow right now, you can’t blow by doing good. You have to do something stupid or crazy.”

Njoku encouraged young talents to resist the pressure for negative publicity and instead use their platform to build value.
