Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has raised an alarm after both his Facebook and Instagram pages were abruptly taken down.
The outspoken musician said the suspension happened shortly after he released his latest track, Open Letter to Donald Trump.

Abdulkareem said on Sunday that he has been locked out of both accounts since the song went public.
Independent checks also revealed that the pages are no longer accessible to the public.

Known for his fiery political commentary, the rapper provided no details on how long the suspension might last or whether Meta had issued any warning.
His new song, released in November 2025 under Lakreem Entertainment, tackles corruption, insecurity, and leadership failures in Nigeria.

Although framed as a message to former U.S. President Donald Trump, the track sharply criticises Nigerian authorities.
Abdulkareem accused the elite of living in comfort while ordinary citizens struggle to survive.

He also highlighted the surge in kidnappings, killings, and other violent crimes fuelling fear among Nigerians.
By invoking Trump’s name, the veteran rapper attempted to draw international attention to the country’s worsening conditions.

The song continues his long-running history of confronting the political class, echoing the impact of his famous hit Jaga Jaga, which targeted corruption and bad governance.
In April 2025, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) banned his song Tell Your Papa, accusing it of violating broadcast standards.

And long before that, in 2004, Jaga Jaga was famously banned under President Olusegun Obasanjo, a reminder that Abdulkareem’s music has always sparked controversy at the highest levels of power.
