The Olota of Ota, Awori Land, Prof. Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege has been appointed as a visiting Professor of Mass Communication at Monarch University.

This appointment was formally conferred by the Chancellor, Bishop Tom Samson of Monarch University, on November 7, 2025, at the University Auditorium.

The Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees welcomed the Olota of Ota, principal officers, invited guests, staff, and students to the appointment ceremony.

Prof. Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege addressed the audience, praising the university’s serene environment and expressing gratitude to the Chancellor for his appointment.

He advised students to concentrate on their studies and heed the advice of lecturers for effective learning.

Additionally, he thanked the Chancellor for the appointment and prayed for the success of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs.) Mopelola Omoegun.
