The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Dr. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, was named Southwest Local Government Chairman of the Year at the 2025 Southwest Investment Summit and Advancement Awards.
The event, drew top political figures, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the region to celebrate excellence and impactful governance.
Dr. Oyegbola-Sodipo’s recognition came as a testament to his visionary leadership and people centered policies, which have transformed Abeokuta North through significant improvements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
Receiving the award to a standing ovation, Oyegbola-Sodipo dedicated the honour to his team and constituents, acknowledging their collective effort toward progress.
“This recognition is not just for me, but for every hardworking individual who believes in progress, accountability, and the power of community driven leadership,” he said.
