Ebonyi police declares corp member missing as corpse of 5 year old boy found

Ebonyi state Police Command has declared a corps member serving in the state, Victor Omah, 24 missing.
Omah, who hails from Adekafane Ugwolawo in Ofu local government area of Kogi State was serving with the state Agency for Mass Literacy located along old Enugu/Abakaliki Road by Presbyterian Church Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki,
He was first declared missing by his roommate Ujah Innocent who told the police that that on 9th November 2021 by 6 pm, he (Omah) left their lodge at National Association Of Catholic-Church Corps Members (NACC) Family House behind Hope-in Hotel Presco Junction, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, to an unknown destination and has not returned till date.
The state Police Spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah confirmed the development.
She said “the Command has disseminated the information through its control room and other Police Formations within the Command, while efforts are being intensified to trace the missing person. He is dark in complexion, 5ft tall, speaks Igala Dialect and English language fluently, and has no tribal mark.
“All efforts made to trace Victor Omah proved abortive. The Command, therefore, implores members of the public with useful information on his whereabouts to please report at the nearest Police Station”.
The development came after about five year old boy whose name could not be immediately ascertained, was declared missing in Amaokwu Amangballa, Afikpo North local government area of the state.
A search was launched for him with deployment of town criers, youths and purported report at Afikpo police station.
However, residents of the area woke up to see the corpse of the boy in the same Amaokwu Amangballa allegedly strangled and dumped for passersby to see
The state Police Spokesperson, Loveth Odah(DSP), said the matter has not been reported to her office.
