UCL Humiliation: Bodø/Glimt crash, burn as Osimhen turns Champions League into personal playground

Another Champions League night, another team served a reality check; this time, it was Bodø/Glimt who got dragged out of their fantasy and dumped into Osimhen’s world.

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian nightmare defender, can’t wake up from, bagged a first-half brace and left the Norwegian side chasing shadows and praying for halftime. Galatasaray didn’t just win 3–1, they bullied, bodied, and buried any illusion that Bodø/Glimt belonged at this level.

The first goal? Inside 3 minutes. A cold-blooded finish from a Lemina assist, and just like that, the “underdogs” looked more like house pets.

Then came the second, Fredrik André Bjørkan must’ve thought it was a charity match, gifting Osimhen the ball like it was his birthday. 2–0, 33rd minute, game over.

By the time Yunus Akgün added a third, Galatasaray fans were already singing, and Bodø players were mentally booking flights home. The only goal from the Norwegians? A barely-celebrated consolation in the 74th minute, after Galatasaray had already lowered the tempo out of pity.

This wasn’t football. This was a Champions League lesson, and Bodø/Glimt were the sad students who forgot to revise.

Maybe next time, Bodø will bring a defence. Or at least pretend to.
