Fermín López ran riot with a hat-trick that made Olympiacos defenders look like holograms. Marcus Rashford, playing with the swagger of a man in a training session, casually added two more to the tally while Lamine Yamal, who just turned 18, made history and then rubbed it in by scoring a penalty.
Olympiacos briefly flirted with hope when Ayoub El Kaabi converted a penalty to make it 3-1, but that optimism lasted about as long as their midfield could keep up, and it all crumbled when Santiago Hezze earned a red card that summed up the Greek side’s entire night: clumsy, overwhelmed, and out of their depth.
Now sitting rock bottom with one point, Olympiacos might want to ask UEFA if they can switch to the Europa Conference League, or just go home early to avoid more humiliation.
