Niger Police Commissioner enforces tinted glass regulations in Minna, urges motorists to Comply

Niger state Commissioner of Police CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has conducted a monitoring and enforcement exercise focused on regulating tinted glass permits within the Minna metropolis recently.

This initiative aims to ensure compliance with the Motor Vehicle Prohibition of Tinted Glass Act of 2004.

During the enforcement exercise, CP Elleman met with Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and their teams, who actively engaged with motorists to ensure adherence to the tinted glass regulations.

This action of the command was contained in a statement issued by Spokesperson of the Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who noted that the Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the ongoing enforcement efforts.

CP Elleman emphasized the importance of obtaining tinted glass permits and urged motorists who have not yet processed their applications to do so promptly to avoid potential legal repercussions.

He stated, “Any vehicle found to have tinted glass without the necessary permit will be subject to impoundment and prosecution.

“This enforcement is crucial for national security and the regulation of tinted glass usage in vehicles.”

The Commissioner also acknowledged the cooperation and understanding exhibited by motorists during the first day of this initiative, encouraging them to maintain compliance.

The Niger State Police Command remains committed to ensuring safety and security on the roads through diligent enforcement of vehicle regulations.
