As Nigeria celebrated its 65th Independence Anniversary, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered a message of hope and a call to action, urging Nigerians to work together to build a prosperous and self-reliant nation. In his national broadcast, Tinubu emphasized that the federal government will continue to do its part to fix the economy, and now it’s up to citizens to drive productivity, innovation, and enterprise.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that the administration is laying a new foundation for progress, cast in concrete, not on quicksand. He highlighted the importance of channeling resources into critical areas such as food security, quality education, electricity, and community security. According to him, the accurate measure of success will not be limited to economic statistics alone, but rather in the tangible improvements in the lives of Nigerians.

The President urged sub-national entities to join the federal government in nation-building, emphasizing the need for Nigerians to become a nation of producers, not just consumers. He called on citizens to: increase food production and reduce reliance on imports; process local produce and stimulate economic growth; support local industries and promote economic development and; contribute to the nation’s revenue and support public services.

Tinubu’s message was one of hope and renewal, as he assured Nigerians that the dawn of a new, prosperous, and self-reliant Nigeria is here. He called on citizens to believe in the boundless potential of their great nation and to work together to achieve a brighter future. With Almighty God on their side, Tinubu expressed confidence that Nigeria will overcome its challenges and emerge stronger.

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, President Tinubu’s call to action serves as a reminder that the nation’s future is in the hands of its citizens. By working together and harnessing their collective potential, Nigerians can build a brighter future for themselves and future generations. Happy 65th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria.
