The national body of Jega Market Association has assured His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu of their readiness to give him 100 per cent support in the 2027 general elections.
The association gave the assurance when its members paid a solidarity visit on the governor in Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
The leader of the delegation, who is also the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Basic Education, Alhaji Kabir Labbo-Jega, said the essence of the visit was to acknowledge the good works the governor has been doing to transform the state.
“We are here in Government House to show solidarity with your government and to assure you that we will stand by you come 2027.
“I want to emphasise that the national body of Jega Market Association are fully ready to support your administration to succeed.
“We have collectively resolved to support you in view of the projects your administration is executing not only in the state capital but also in Jega and across the entire state,” he said.
On his part, Hon. Nasir Dan-Musa-Jega Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce and Industries, appreciated the governor for all the good works he has been doing for the people of Jega in particular and Kebbi State as a whole.
Also contributing, Murtal Sarki said the people of Jega have no option than to support His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris’ administration to succeed.
Responding, Gov. Nasir Idris lauded the association for the visit and assured them of his administration’s commitment to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to all nuks and crannies of the state.
He said his government would continue to be a government of the people for the people and by the people to give all a sense of belonging.
