Finance Minister to deliver keynote at FiBOP National Annual Conference 2025

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, is set to deliver the keynote address at the 2025 National Annual Conference of the Finance and Business Online Publishers (FiBOP), scheduled to hold from October 18 to 19 at Orchid Hotels, Lekki, Lagos.
Themed “Achieving a $1 Trillion Economy: Leveraging Technology Innovations, Tax Reforms, and Opportunities in Renewable Energy, Agriculture and Financial Services”, the conference will feature technocrats, thought leaders, captains of industry, academia, and key stakeholders from across sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Organizers said discussions will center on strategies to accelerate Nigeria’s economic growth and put the country on track to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2030. Speakers are expected to highlight reforms in taxation, investments in renewable energy, agricultural expansion, and innovations in financial services as pathways to sustainable development.

Mr. Edun emphasized that domestic savings remain the engine of sustainable investment, stressing that a trusted and stable financial system anchored by strong institutions is critical to lifting millions out of poverty and driving Nigeria’s transition to a trillion-dollar economy.
FiBOP President, Mr. Charles Onwuatogwu, called on more organizations to partner with the association in alignment with the federal government’s renewed hope agenda on wealth creation and economic growth. He assured prospective partners of wide-ranging benefits, including media exposure, publicity promotions, and brand visibility during the two-day event.
